Nils Winther

Danish jazz producer, engineer and label founder. A university student at the time, Nils Winther began recording the local and international artist playing in Copenhagens jazz club "Montmartre" and from 1972 released the recordings on his new label SteepleChase. In the 70's and 80' SteepleChase became label for quite a number of major artists that had settled in Europe, including Chet Baker, Duke Jordan, Kenny Drew a.m.o.
