Whether you like Techno, Deep House, Tech House or Electronica or beautiful, melodic soundscapes you need to check out this guy's back catalogue. Played and loved by many including; Ben Sims, Funk D'Void, Omid 16B, Danny Howells, Mr. C etc. the list is endless. Quite simply a top class producer in a league of his own.

Vince Watson writes highly melodic, creative, excellently-produced techno. ALL of his albums are worth hearing, and very few techno producers can claim such.

This is also because a lot of his material shows that he is clearly a talented composer and musician, not "just" a producer. One listen to the resoundingly successful melodic, jazzy, detroitian-techno masterpiece "Every Soul Needs A Guide" proves this with its regularly memorable melodic lead hooks, and many sublime blasts of synth soloing.

Hopefully he will continue to write tons more superb music. As of this writing, he has a sizeable discography, most of which is absolutely worth checking out. Do yourself a favour if you're even vaguely into techno: hunt down some of Vince's material as soon as possible. It is worth the trouble.

The way Vince Watson manipulates the keyboards, bringing complex multi-chords, dense & fully melodic patches to the contemporary dance music is simply amazing. It makes you feel like a small grain in a deep, huge atmosphere, condensed among the melodies, emotion and rhythms, which by the way seem to fit perfectly in the ears of the intense listeners.
I still have in mind the day Vince played ten and twelve finger chords on a small keyboard when we showed him a House percussion pattern made by Mr. Gil in studio in Santo André. This happened the first time Vince played in Brazil (most precisely at Lov.e Combustível), during a tour in South America, in 2004.
Vince is considered nowadays one of the top Techno producers and live-acts all over the World, and there is definitely a reason for that: this acclaimed Scottish producer has gone through a journey since the very beginning that suggests that he followed a true path of sonic enlightment, which may certainly be at the origin of his high accurate musical feeling.
He absorbed different elements from the important electronic music composers of the end of the twentieth century, from the French showman Jean Michel Jarre to the Detroit Pioneers such as Derrick May & Carl Craig, and he new how to create his own artistic perspective that is a combination between elegant, seductive and emotional ambiances for the true demanding dancefloors.
Thanks must be given to Dave Angel for anticipating Vince's appearance in the international scene, mainly for having released "1st Innovations EP" was released on Dave’s label Rotation.
Through magnificent tunes such as "Mystical Rhythm", "Rainbow Funk" and "Bubbles" (all part of the “Biologique” LP from 1999), Vince Watson's work caused a catatonic impact in the global electronic scene for setting a personal hypnotic perspective of groovy, melodic and atmospheric sounds.
