49th Line, The

Real Name:
Peter McCowan & Nathan David Carlton
Profile:
Getting into electronic music for Peter McCowan started back in 1996 when first introduced to music software. Since then it has been an upward and onward self-battle to create atmospheric textured music, that carries a heavy underground progressive beat, and in most cases it has succeeded. For example his collaboration with one of the USA's new hero's: Marcus Schultz. But only he managed to do that. Peter is also responsible for remixes on Scott Bond vs. Solar Stone, Robert Nickson, Armin Van Buuren feat. Jan Wayne and of course George Hales. The man is skilled in creating anything from progressive house to breaks to progressive trance to chil-out ambient tracks under various disguises, including Sonar Methods and Alucard. Presently he's also involved in his local radio show and doing video game soundtrack music. Things are looking up for this next-gen-gem!

Nathan Carlton is a writer and singer producing out of Minneapolis, MN. He and Peter have various releases together on Somatic Sense, Armada and Sony BMG. Nathan is also known as the vocalist ENDC and appears on the SOG label as well as making a cameo on Experimental Division in The 49th Line's "Blue on Blue (Chill Mix)." His other work with house producer Chuck Love and vocalist Jennifer Grimm can be heard on American labels OM and Large.

Peter and Nathan live on opposite sides of the 49th parallel, separating Canada from the United States, where the two artists live and collaborate.
