John Tavener

Influential British classical composer of the late 20th century, known for his extensive output of religion-themed works. He was knighted in 2000 for services to music.

Born 28th January 1944 Wembley Park, London, England - died 12th November 2013 Child Okeford, Dorset, England.

Not to be confused with the 16th century John Taverner.
