Abdullah

Profile:Brought to life in 1998, Abdullah play what the band members define as 'death rock': essentially a mixture of Heavy Metal and more modern Doom Metal structures with the influences of acts such as Black Sabbath, The Obsessed and St. Vitus (even though they mention The Misfits, Acid Bath and Entombed as major influences too).

The band has rarely had any line-up changes and currently consists of Jeff Shirilla (vocals), Alan Seibert (guitars), Jim Simonian (drums) and Ed Stephens (bass). After recording three demos, the band signed to Rage of Achilles in 1999 and released an EP, "Snake Lore", followed by a self-titled full-length in 2000. 2002's "Graveyard Poetry" gained the band international respect and they were able to play with mainstream acts such as Chevelle and Mushroomhead. A split with Nephusim followed the following year.
