Grammy Award winning mastering engineer Adam Ayan works at the world class mastering facility Gateway Mastering & DVD in Portland, Maine.
A graduate of the University of Massachussetts at Lowell's Sound Recording Technology program, Ayan began at Gateway in 1998 as an editor and production engineer for mastering guru Bob Ludwig. He soon became Ludwig's full time assistant and protégé, learning the art of mastering directly from him. In 2000 Ayan began taking on mastering projects of his own, and in August 2001 his suite at Gateway Mastering & DVD was opened for business.
