Alexander Ligowski is without a doubt one of the »insiders« of electronic and psychedelic music world wide. Due to his many years as Product Manager at Euromedia, Head of A&R at Nova Tekk, and from 2002 on continuing this work at the London labels Millennium Records/YSE Recordings, he has insider informations and contacts second to none in all areas of the world.
As A&R at Nova Tekk, Mr. Ligowski signed some of the biggest musical innovators to his label D. Drum, including X.Dream, The Delta, Midimiliz as well as Organic Noise; the more progressive oriented label Liquid Audio Sounds, also directed by Alex, awaited us with KoxBox, S.U.N. Project, Son Kite and the Saafi-Brothers Gabriel Le Mar and Michael Kohlbecker. As a Product Manager he was responsible for the German Releases of Dragonfly Records, Astral Projection and the legendary “Lone Deranger” by Hallucinogen. Finally on the vinyl label Naja Records he served up delicacies by artists including Atmos, Synchro and Planet B.E.N. Within a short time he managed to both build up a handpicked artist pool, as well as makes a lasting impression with innovative compilation concepts. The series »Tantrance« or »Pulse« are sought after collector’s items nowadays. Under Alexander Ligowski’s direction Nova Tekk was able to reach a unique position in the scene, and play a leading role in the development of Goa Trance.
In 2002 the UK label Millennium Records/YSE Recordings obtained his services. Also in this case, within a short time, Alex succeeded in establishing the label into a leading position worldwide. By featuring releases from well known artists such as Peter Gun, Andromeda, Ten Madison, Freddy Fresh and S.U.N Project, but also by promoting young artists of the new German Progressive and Goa Trance styles such as Neelix, Galactika, Optokoppler and Magoon, he managed to offer a high quality, and musically wide spread spectrum of music.
Alex started his DJ career in 1993 in the Ruhr Area at the Bochumer Lurie. Residencies followed at X-Ray and at the legendary »Cult« in Arnsberg/Sauerland. He is a regular guest at numerous parties all over Europe. As a DJ he has access to the newest tracks and trends, and with driving and uplifting sounds he combines the most varying styles into one continuous rush- from Progressive to Psychedelic Trance!
