Reviews & Discussion

Review by Alain_Patrick Mar 30, 2005 (edited over 7 years ago)
The way Maurizio Dami, better known as Alexander Robotnik, used to manipulate the sintesizers in a deeply futuristic shape in comparison to many other electronic music artists of his time. He stretched to the boundaries of a style well-known as Italo-Disco, but his sonorities went far away from the Disco itself, since it came more like from the depths of Kraftwerk's Electro, the New Romanthic and Synth Pop movements.
His classic tunes, such as 'Problèmes D' Amour' and 'Dance, Boy, Dance' are still considered references to all Electro & Synth-Pop supporters.
Despite his visionnary releases of the beginning of the eighties and the international recognition, he only earned what he really deserved after his come back in the 'electroclash' era.
