Alka blends styles to create music that is both melancholic and uplifting; synthetic yet melodic. Variously labeled as IDM, Occultronica, Ambient, and WitchGlitch, Alka's production process is akin to an alchemical experiment, directly and indirectly incorporating esoteric practices adapted for musical creation. The result is vast enough to go well with wide open spaces and/or condensed urban settings... it is the place where lucidity and obscurity meet.

Alka is quickly becoming one of the world's most respected IDM artists. In a sea of IDM rhythm and playful melody, his unique blend of modular synthesis accentuates even the most subtle details of analog sound. Many would argue that his technique in the genre is nothing short of elite. Alka has contributed additional synth and drum programming to Roger O"Donnell's (Ex-Cure, Thompson Twins, Psychedelic Furs) latest solo release, "Songs From The Silver Box" on Great Society records.
