Altered Images

New-wave group formed in Glasgow, 1979. Originally comprising Clare Grogan (vocals), Tony McDaid (guitar), John McElhone (bass), Jim McKinven (guitar / keyboards) and Michael Anderson (drums), they soon adopted synthpop stylings under the influence of producers including Martin Rushent and Mike Chapman. The group split in 1983 (Anderson and McKinven had already left the previous year). Clare (who had already appeared in the hit film "Gregory's Girl" in 1980) is now an actress under the name CP Grogan.
