André Juliani (Smart Biz, Brasil) has been at the forefront of the brazilian electronic music scene since 1998, time when he became one of the owners of the legendary PIX Club, always spreading the underground sounds, from House to Techno, breakbeats and experimental.
Juliani’s commitment to what he calls the “serious electronic music” represents what he considers one of the essences of his own life. Highly influenced by the sounds of Detroit, he is considered a highly respected DJ and producer of the dynamic brazilian scene.
Highly influenced by the sounds of Detroit, Andre discovered a whole new scene during the year of 1995 in the depths of the legendary Hell’s Club afterhours and became instantly passionate by those innovative technological sounds. Surrounded by the noble entourage of avant-garde heads such as Mau Mau, Renato Lopes and Eric Caramelo, he quickly understood the importance of that cutting-edge nucleus, clearly focused on the sonic universe of underground music.
During the six years of the intimate & underground club Pix (1998-2004), he administrated and commanded the dancefloors as the main resident DJ in projects such as Bandit House Project, Mini-Boogie, the legendary Hello (with DJ Mau Mau) and Transition (dedicated to the underground-experimental sides of Electro and Breakbeats in general, under the alias of Soul Culture) – many of which are still having place in the many different clubs of São Paulo and the rest of the country.
Andre has been resident DJ at several club projects such as Technova (Lov.e Club), Hello, Dama De Ferro (Rio de Janeiro), Bandit (Cambridge Hotel/Up Club), and playing regularly on many other ones. As a producer, Andre Juliani stretched to the boundaries as a professional during these years always looking for the innovative sonorities and those made with excellence.
