Angel Ice

Of all the Oliver Adams based outfits, Angel Ice seems best fitted to represent the overall aesthetic of his prolific output in the early 1990's.

With Nikkie van Lierop on sultry vocal duty (in French, of course) and Maurice Engelen lending a production hand (the trio forming the classic lineup of Maurice, Nikkie & Oliver a.k.a. M.N.O) you get the concentrated dose of what Belgian Techno was all about.

Anyone who's watched the movie Basic Instinct will know of this particular sound already thanks to the nightclub scene that famously included the massive M.N.O. hit Channel X - Rave The Rhythm.

"Je n'aime que toi" still stands today as a classic. Check it out for a dose of what Belgium sounded like in 1991.
