As one of the greatest contributors in the Drum and Bass scene worldwide, Aphrodite led the way in up-beat and dance floor worthy tracks starting all the way back in '92. I had the privilege to hand the one's and two's over to him on a few occasions here in Denver and the result was utterly amazing! He devastates the dance floors with his classic yet progressive style... Aphrodite always seems to have his finger on the pulse of the scene. He is one of the Drum and Bass scene's prolific and hardest working artists and I have to say one of the friendliest as well.
Aphrodites good stuff is as bad as his worse. Some of his tracks are just fuckin awesome, original shit. Most of his newer stuff, however, is very formulamatic (word?) and, to me, just isn't as good as his other stuff! This is due to the fact that he stopped sampling and started making "all original" music. I say fuck that, go back to ripping off beats and making good music!
another extremely well-know UK dj/producer. Aphrodite's releases can vary from atmospheric to straight-up jungle. his remixes are usually top-notch.
