v404, May 13, 2005

One of the best rock acts to emerge in a long time. A nice blend of influences ranging from Sonic Youth to My Bloody Valentine, yet surprisingly new and unique. The dynamic trio consists of 90s rock veterans from groups like Failure, Edna Swap, & Maids Of Gravity. Their sound palette is quite innovative considering its just guitars, drums, bass & vocals. They can be pretty noisey and experimental at times but maintain enough pop sensibility to keep it far from the pretentious and cliche leanings of contemporary modern & indie rock. Surprisingly, their live performances even transcend their recordings, a feat seldom practiced today, which is especially noteworthy for such a unique and creative band.
