During the last decade Rotterdam home-based dj/producer Bas Mooy (1976) has been active on all fronts in the global techno-scene. In 2002 he started the well respected label Audio Assault, which resulted in the birth of sublabel Arms in 2003. He recently kickstarted Syndikaat Records, which will focus more on the diversity in techno music.
Over the years Bas has been a resident and member of organizations such as Exposure of Sound, Compound, Strictly Techno, Phaze!1, Resonance and Inside. Beside that he is also hosting a monthly evening at the legendary Bootleg, providing a stage for locals and upcoming talent since 2001.
The last couple of years he has been working the decks at established Dutch venues/parties such as Awakenings (Graansilo, Gashouder), De Effenaar, Doornroosje, 013, Waterfront, Het Paard van Troje, Nighttown and Simplon, with artists like Jeff Mills, Speedy J, Ben Sims, Cari Lekebusch, Surgeon, Luke Slater, Cristian Varela, Glenn Wilson, Gayle San, Secret Cinema and many more. Foreign gigs took place in countries like Belgium, Sweden, Scotland, Croatia and Germany.
