Profile:
US Jazz clarinet player. Known as "The King Of Swing". Born on May 30, 1909 in Chicago, Illinois. At the age of 10 he learned to play the clarinet. At a young age he was already playing in Jazz bands. He formed his own band in 1934 and toured the world. Benny Goodman was the founder of the "Swing" style in Jazz. He died of a cardiac arrest in June, 1986.
