Reviews & Discussion

Review by Crijevo Mar 15, 2007 (edited over 2 years ago)
One of those depressingly irritating bands to slash our wrists when listening, and it is certainly not for enjoyment. Bijelo Dugme ('White Button' in English, in case you're interested) are a paradox - performing what is credited ever since as 'Shepherds' Rock'N'Roll', exchanging three vocalists (of which Zeljko Bebek certainly left most charisma), producing interesting record sleeves that seem as either original or plagiarist adaptations of something Hipgnosis did much more tasty... All in all, the group was the most popular indeed (or at least one in a row of such typically Yugoslavian sounding groups) but depending how you see them individually - to amassed hordes of fans it is truly unique listening experience but any such generalisation of a band is as equally scarry. Not necessarily for political awareness but for its primitive instincts.
