Biosphere

Real Name:Geir Jenssen
Profile:Geir Jenssen from Tromsø in Norway was first introduced to us through the band Bel Canto (est.1985), and, from 1991 as Biosphere, a house-techno and ambient pioneer. Some of his projects have been to make music for the film Insomnia (dir Erik Skjoldbjærg) in 1997 and music for a play of Jules Verne for French radio in 2004.

Its a surprise that the Biospheres comment section is so poor!! We are talking about the best ambient composer ever.
Obviously this is my opinion, but its not an opinion that Geirs music is one of the best representation of electronic music all over the world. Only the Aphex Twins SAWs are at the same wavelenght. His best releases are CIRQUE, SUBSTRATA and the collaborations with Bobby Bird (H.I.A.). If you love ambient music mixed with techno tunes Jenssen is your man.
