Black Moth Super Rainbow

Real Name:
Tom Fec, Maureen Boyle, Ryan Manon, Donna Kyler
Profile:
Hailing from the creepiest of states, this 5 piece junk band grew up watching “321 Contact” and “The Letter People Show” and has found a way into my listening routine on a daily basis for several years. They say their primary focus is turning their childhood memories into songs and feel much more at home playing music in the woods or an old barn than an electro club. -- Graveface Records

Reviews & Discussion

Review by wfkroll Oct 13, 2005 (edited over 6 years ago)
I recently picked up some material by this group and was pleasantly surprised. Most of the music is very reminicent of early BOC(BOC Maxima, Twoism). Warm nostalgia wrapped in steady beat box rhythms. The songs all have a raw quality to them, like they're being played from a broken 70's tape recorder. The moods they create are unique and the production is very impressive. Although the newest album "Start a people" is fantastic, I believe it's just a taste of what's to come from this group.
