Blue Foundation

Profile:
// Blue Foundation started out in 2000 based on Bichi aka. Tobias Wilner’s cooperation with various artists and musicians.
The music can be described as a mix of melodic dreamy pop influenced by indietronica and shoegaze. Tobias Wilner just called it folk music for modern people. The music reflects the metropolitian life in an urban culture of today. With influences from shoegaze, hip hop, turntablism, electronica, alternative classical music, film noir and contemporary music.
Special Tobias Wilner's work with Kirstine Stubbe Teglbjærg, Tatsuki Oshima, Bo Rande and MC Jabber has gained the characteristic Blue Foundation sound. Blue Foundation released their first 7” via MoshiMoshi (Hot Chip, Bloc Party etc) and their 1st, self-titled album was released shortly after. During the last years, Blue Foundation have expanded their audience, embracing both the underground and the alternative mainstream. You can find the beautiful and cinematic sound of Blue Foundation in major blockbusters such as “Twilight”, “Miami Vice” and their music also appeared on The OC.

The latest release from Blue Foundation is "Watch you Sleeping" feat. Mark Kozelek / Dream (3:11 PM).

Alongside Blue Foundation Tobi Wilner did a collaboration with Tatsuki Oshima and DJ Krush on his album “Jaku” and did releases with DJ Klock (R.I.P). He also did a more experimental album as Bichi - "Notwithstanding" - released by Opiate on his label Hobby Industries. These days he is in studio working on the Ghost Society album.
