Robert Power
Profile:
Legendary studio engineer. Master of the bottom end.
First joins R&B band "The New Direction", then forms Jazz sextet "Acapella Gold" and generally takes his guitar around the USA, ending up in NYC. There he takes a job at Calliope studios as a fill-in engineer. The first record he engineers is Stetsasonic's classic "On Fire" LP, which gains him an immediate following of Hiphop producers, and a steady supply of acclaimed work from De La and Tribe through to D'Angelo and the Roots.
