I could get crusified by the fans, but, to me, Britney Spears began to be interesting when she cut her hair. She is the classic example of a star, exhausted with everything. Exhausted by people telling her what to sing, what to eat, what to dress, what to say or not to say, who she should be going out with. Exhausted to be the "good example", the "American princess", the perfect, pure, virgin, angel of god.
And fans go as far as leaving messages everywhere, asking "Why Britney?". Well, because she wants to. And this is where you begin where you are a real artist: you express yourself. You do the things you want to do. And you don't care about what other people say.
To say the girl doesn't have any potential is wrong. She is obviously a good singer and a talented dancer. Even Madonna believed in her. But people will have to realize she's also a human being.
The haircut was a professional suicide. One can only dream what her comeback will sound like.
