Profile:
George "Buddy" Guy was born July 30, 1936 in Lettsworth, Louisiana (U.S.A.). He's the brother of Phil Guy.
He began playing professionally in and around Baton Rouge in the early 1950's. Initially influenced by the recordings of T-Bone Walker and Lightnin' Hopkins, he was also inspired by local bluesmen Otis "Lightnin' Slim" Hicks and New Orleans based Eddie "Guitar Slim" Jones.

Inducted into Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 2005 (Performer).
