The most exciting artist since Boards of Canada has come from a very unlikely source. In 2003 this didnt even really exist but the likes of Burial and Cyrus (through soundtracks like Children of Men) have taken the dubstep sound into another realm.

Burials astonishing debut has been more than topped by his newest - if it were not classified as dance then Radio 3 would have no issues in playing this after Steve Reich. This is not the sound of the future but this is a sound only bourne out of London and makes the most sense in London. If you can, grab both albums and all remixes (inc the Bloc Party one) and take the nightbus round until it makes sense.
