Profile:
Formed in England 1977, Cardiacs began life as 'The Filth', changing their name variously to 'Cardiac Arrest', 'The Alphabet' and 'The Obvious Identity' before finally deciding on Cardiacs in 1980. They are best known for their unique style of music (termed "Pronk" by many) which contains elements of Progressive Rock, Punk and Psychedelic Rock.
