North London DJ/Producer Cee*Why has resided in Hornsey, North London spilling out fat beats and joints for a good seven years. Originally a member of Loosecannon recordings, his early days in his youth were spent playing in funk jams in north London amongst musos from bands such as D-influence, Push and Galliano. A trained drummer from the age of eight, he moved into dj'ing at thirteen, and some few thousand records later arrived his first sampler, a degree in music followed and at the same time the inevitable meeting with Jehst and the YNR collective
Cee*Why first met Jehst in 99 at a music studio in Wembly where he was recording his first album 'The Boomcat Project', the chance meeting set off a snowball of tracks between the two inc. Battletec, Encore and Crystal Mirrors, to name a few. For various unforeseen circumstances these tracks never got released, but what did follow was 'Water Torture', the timeless classic featuring Tommy Evans and Jehst. On the flip could be found the equally domineering 'The Great Escape' featuring the deadly duo 'Ricochet' and 'Ultra' from 'Universal Soldiers'
Cee*Why's current projects include a track on the new Yungun ep entitled 'The Teardown', to be found on 'Rehab Records' and a three track ep on ynr hitting the streets early next year called 'Partycrashers' featuring Usmaan, Mystro and Yungun
