Celestial Season is a band with two lives, having started out as a doomdeath band (most notably on Solar Lovers) and then abruptly switching gears to a stoner metal sound on Orange, where similarities to Kyuss are occasionally quite striking, right down to Cyril Crutz's vocal resemblance to John Garcia. In both incarnations this was a very good band. After 10 years together, the band announced its breakup in February of 2002, citing their creativity as "fulfilled".
