UK Hard Dance DJ & Producer.
Charlotte Birch burst onto the scene back in 1996 after giving up a 10 year career in lingerie modelling to try out DJing. Within only a matter of months she became resident for Moneypenny’s and Decadence, playing funky house and club classics. In 1999 she radically changed her music style to hard dance and was snapped up as resident by the legendary Sundissential. She is now one of the top female DJ’s in the UK. This has led to residencies at Slinky, Frisky, Roar and Dropzone and is a regular quest at most clubs in the UK including: Godskitchen, Polysexual, Frantic, Lashed, Hotdog and Virus.
Not content with her home shores Charlotte’s international status has now being recognised worldwide with no less that 7 visits to America including: Seattle, LA, San Francisco and Denver. She has toured Australia 4 times spanning over Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and also played in New Zealand. Nearer to home Charlotte has been dominating the Dutch masses playing for hugely successful HQ parties, 4 Elements, Melkweg and one of the many highlights of her career playing to over 60,000 people at the Rotterdam street parade. Over the summer months you can expect to see Charlotte in Ibiza, Falaraki, Benidorm and Kavos in conjunction with many brands such as Sundissential, Wildchild and Slinky.
Charlotte has just relaunched her label Dropzone records as a platform to showcase her own releases. She has produced no less than 21 tracks to date. Her first track “Gladiator” was in the top 7 in the national dance music charts and many of her tracks have been featured on compilations such as Extreme Euphoria, Good Greef album and Tidy Trax Summer Camp album as well as receiving plays on Radio 1, Galaxy and Virgin radio.
She also ran her hugely successful club night Dropzone for many years. Guests included Tidy Boys, Paul Glazby, Ilogik plus many more with numbers regularly topping 1000+ and rivalling even the so called super clubs.
Whilst staying at the top of her game in the hard dance stakes, Charlotte has been branching out into techno/electro and has just recently produced her first techno track. She now regularly plays electro and dirty house at many of the top night whilst still not forgetting her hard dance roots.
Charlotte has now graced the shores of Australia and has based herself in Sydney.
