Chris Kontos was born in Cyprus at 29 May 1970. Chris Kontos is best known as the drummer of Machine Head on their first album: Burn My Eyes. He left shortly after recording that album and played in many bands and projects before and after that period of time, among which: Testament, Konkhra, Attitude Adjustment, Exodus, Verbal Abuse, Custard Pie, Anti Trust, The Servants, Dog Faced Gods, Death Angel, Grinch and with James Murphy.
Currently he is a member of the thrash metal band Sangre Eterna and stoner rock group Spiralarms.
