ChthoniC is a Taiwanese symphonic black metal band formed in 1995. "ChthoniC" is derived from the Greek god of the underworld with the phonetic translation into Mandarin as Shan-ling. They seek to bring ancient Taiwanese legends and myths into the modern era.
