The Circle Jerks are a US hardcore project made up by then-Black Flag singer Keith Morris and future Bad Religion guitarist Greg Hetson. The band is often credited, along with Bad Brains, Bad Religion, Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, Minor Threat, Social Distortion and many others, as one of the most important hardcore punk groups of the early 80s.
The band recorded a number of well received albums before they split up in 1989 when Hetson decided to continue touring and recording albums with Bad Religion. However, they reformed in 1994 and are back together once again, although the members are still involved with their own activities.
