Clarence Brown is a multi-instrumentalist (guitarist, singer, bassist, drummer ...), a producer and most of all a very eclectic artist. He started his career at the end of the 40s.
He played blues, cajun, country, R&B, jazz ... and more.
His "Gatemouth" alias comes from a high school instructor who accused Brown of having a "voice like a gate" that Clarence would later use it as an advantage.
