Reviews & Discussion

Review by Crijevo May 12, 2003
Synthesizer became a fetish long time ago, it is a fact that is hard to deny - we've all built a considerable dependency on the juicy, albeit sterile drum machine, appealing enough to drive us crazy for its gorgeous repetition; early 80s proved particularly thick on the ground and changed the face of pop forever - although there were, and still are, counless hybrids that mercilessly kill off electronic pop music, there are also those you might recognise appearing with warmth and idiosyncracy, receiving them as warmly as they suggest - Client is one of them. 'Defenders on earth' that appeared to twist their electronic knife into music mass-consumerism. Client's obscure chant 'Client - we never say no, Client - satisfaction guarrantee' makes a shivering and stunning effect towards a listener whose imagination spreads in both, musical and sexual, agreeably circling around one - rhythm and melody potency filled with body juice. Client never miss the trick indeed. Their 'Price of Dub' is out now on Mute/Toast Hawaii. A fine example of timeless electronic pulse. Recommended.
