This project is run by two fellows : Christophe Marcourt and Olivier Zerbib. They met in 1989 on the Everest where they were eating the same kind of french cheese without the "croute". Christophe was already composing tracks on soundtracker while Olivier was selling ice cream in the south of France with his boss sir "Taulard".

They decided to play music together and to create the project Climax Absolüte. After releasing two EP's on an underground french label, they bought a Ferrari. So they drove straight ahead to a young and dynamic label : Step-to-House !! It was the beginning of a love (but short) story...

They made few records in the trance style influences. They won fame : radio (FG 98.2), TV (MCM). A lot of very famous DJ's were playing their tunes : Heyoka (POF),Pulsate (Neuilly), Guy (Israel), Mike (Juno Reactor), Tsuyoshi (Matsuri), Holeg (78 or 91 ?). They played live in a lot of events where they drunk free beers. After a detoxification they decided to leave Step-to-House to follow a knew "Parisien" label : POF...

First they changed their pseudonym for Joking Sphinx. There they got on well with Patrick, Olivier and Fred, so they all decided to sign. The contract was so large ! During one year they produced four EP's and an album.
