The producer, multi-instrumentalist, DJ and sound-addict got noticed for the first time by a bigger audience as the producer and one part of Codec & Flexor. They released their debut single called 'Crazy Girls' in 2001 on Forte Records. The highly acclaimed follow up LP 'Tubed' was released 2002 which included the dance-floor-hymn 'time has changed'.

After excessive touring all across Europe and the US and several remixes he did as Codec & Flexor for people like Zombie Nation, Philipp Boa, Christian Morgenstern or Northern Lite he went back to the studio to start the production of the second Codec & Flexor LP 'Killermachine'. After the Forte-label-owner and close friend unfortunatly passed away Codec & Flexor decided to release their second long-player on Kitty-Yo in 2006. Another tour followed up till the end 2007.

In 2007 Codec launched his own imprint 'Body Function'. In 2008 it released music from Codec, Codec & Flexor and Ascii.Disko followed by a label-tour through China and Europe. Right now he is working on his first solo LP as
Codec, doing several remixes and is releasing 12inches under his real name Sven Zalac. Furthermore he is running the mastering-studio called 'the perfectionists'.
