Colonel Abrams have been around for a long time, still active in todays House scene and well know to all the club people but I can only think of two songs when I hear his name "Trapped" and "I'm Not Gonna Let". Two Heavyweight classics that got sold in huge amounts and can easily be found in your local secondhand store. The picture sleeve on the "Trapped" single must be the ugliest/coolest ever, showing Abrams trapped in pink neon-lights strings with terrible clothes making him look like Miami Vice's Ricardo Tubbs - Hilarious! "Trapped" great vocals might not be as effective today as it was in 1984 with Apartheid and the Gay movement but you have to listen and understand how the society was back then and that singing about Freedom was of current topic. Other amazing songs from him is "Music Is The Answer", "Bad Timing" and from 2002 "Could It Be" on Yellorange. Thanks to high quality production and help from Timmy Regisford "Trapped" and "I'm Not Gonna Let" still sound great and is a must for anybody who like Disco, House and Garage! Recommended!
