Compassion Family was formed in 1995 by Lorenzo Coopog and Edwin Glass, after playing in various punk/metal/space rock bands and spending a lot of time in the rave scene and travels to Goa, India.
Why oh why did this wonderful trance-techno band not get more recognition. Psy trance is a genre full of imitation to the extent that I rarely listen to it anymore it's so boring, but this pair really went places with it, never wanting ot be tied down to labels, but by being different acheiving the quintessential goa trance experience.
There have been no new releases since 2001 which is a shame, but it would be hard to perfect such masterpieces as the Full Moon remix of Spinbomb or Last Bus to Mystika. Two wonderful trance/acid crossovers.

The most under-rated & exciting of all the Goa trance artists. Barrier breaking, innovative, edgy & with tons of attitude.
Always a full on journey for the mind body & soul.
Taking you places few other artists could ever even dream of. Twisted & beautiful, unsung hero's of not only the Goa trance scene. But the whole music scene. You need compassion family, the real daddy's of Goa trance.
Except No imitations, they are the real thing, 100%.
Goa trance is dead, long live compassion family.
