As a matter of fact Serge Ramaekers and Dominic Sas were looking for a stageact to market their Confetti's project. The 'The Sound of C' record was ment to be a publicity stunt for the Confetti's club (Brasschaat, Belgium). Peter Renkens, who became the act's male face was a waiter at the club at that time. The guy was known for his spastic gestures and silly gringes, quite similar to the way people danced on new beat. Later, these gestures became his trademark while performing.
