It's a real shame that Lasse has chosen not to make much mention of his older, harder output on his website. Records under names such as Dark Unitz, Fields Of Defacement, P. Server, Senical, and Skullblower combined the power of hardcore gabber with techno atmospherics and a healthy dose of acid and through the 90s he pumped out classic after classic proving that hard and dark 160+bpm music was a bit more than a distorted 909, a 'Hellraiser' sample and dutch blokes shouting.
Dont get me wrong, Ive got no issue with his choice to produce trance these days, but it would be nice for his to talk about his roots a little more than 'producing various genres of music since 1993'.
That said, the hardcore techno/gabber community have in the past and will continue to speak in awe of Lasse Steen productions.
Dude when u look at this guy's production and remix credits it is simply amazing. From trance to hardcore and acid techno, this guy has produced it. And when i listen to his trance productions, my main field of interest of course, i hear very high quality. He is one of the producers who's name will skyrocket during the time to come, i believe.
