DJ Dick Nixon

Profile:
DJ Dick is entering his thirteenth year of spinning in Detroit. “I have always stayed true to the city … there are few who have stuck with it for more then a few years.” Dick’s career began to take off after he was commissioned in 1991 by Detroit’s premier dance radio station 96.3 WHYT. There, his mix show grew to an unbelievable nightly listening audience of 500,000 people. He DJ’d alongside such greats as Claude Young, with famous guests including Richie Hawtin, Kevin Saunderson, Juan Atkins and more. Dick has opened for hundreds of Detroit Concerts including Dee Lite, Usher, Run DMC, De La Soul, Dr. Dre, and more. His skills have taken him from coast to coast and overseas for many gigs. DJ Dick has several releases on Twilight 76 and Databass Records and records under the names DJ Dick, DJ Dick Nixon and Sekter .17. His current plans include the ever increasing needs of the distribution and Label.
