Kambel was into DJing and producing music from the young age of 11. It wasn't long until he started playing hard house, trance and happy hardcore at clubs around his home town of Nottingham. When he was 16, two of his tracks featured on the popular Japanese Dancemania Speed compilations and from then on he regularly featured in the artist lineup.

His most famous track to date is No More Jokin', which was signed to Sy & Unknown's respected Quosh label in 2004. Admittedly the Sy & Unknown remix gained more popularity than the original, but as a result of the release Kambel has become more recognised in the UK and is now DJing at much bigger venues.

Recently Kurtis has been releasing new material in digital form via IMO Records' download site under his label, Kambel Records.
