DJ Slip got started in techno in the early 1990s in Minneapolis. After getting his feet thoroughly wet in the industry, he moved to New York where he continued to make his mark with his rhythmic grooves and unique tones. Eventually DJ Slip landed in Portland where he continues to work the beats.

DJ Slip is one of the most underestimated producers in the electronic scene! Unfortunately I’ve only seen him once in Belgium (in 1997) @ one of the Kozzmozz nights. You just can’t compare Slip’s style with any other artist. Every time I check one of his productions, I am surprised by his unique sounds and rhythms; sometimes funky and wicked, sometimes complex and dark but always ingenious! And as LaKing mentioned above: once you’ve bought a release from this guy, you want to buy them all!
