Born in Tokyo in 1974. In his junior high school years, Tasaka is swept up by the hip-hop music of Def Jam, Native Tongues and the like, and buys his first turntable and mixer. At the age of 18, Tasaka starts as a club DJ. He is enormously impacted by techno dance music, and immediately changes the direction of his music to that of techno. He starts playing regularly at clubs in Tokyo.
Shortly after this, in 1998, Tasaka meets Takkyu Ishino in a record shop where he has worked since 1996; he gives Ishino a tape of his own DJ Mix, and this opens the door to his becoming a resident DJ working with Ishino at regular "Loopa" party. With his outstanding 'scratch' skills, mastered during his hip-hop era, Tasaka's control of the decks is superior to that of any normal techno DJ, mixing all kinds of genres which range from disco, minimal, electro to hip-hop. Tasaka's unique style of playing has an established reputation and he has made a name for himself as the new generation of Japanese techno DJs.
Since 1998, Tasaka has been active in Tokyo's key club scene by launching his own parties; these include "DAEN, "DISCO TWINS", "TROOP" and"D-Park". In 1999, Tasaka joins Denki Groove's live performance as a turn-tablist, and also plays an important part in Denki Groove's "VOXXX" album by producing three tracks on the album with Takkyu Ishino.
