In 1995, at the tender age of 16, Y? started as a hardcore/breakbeat dj, initially as 'DJ SCINE'. About 3 years later he discovered the free tekno scene and got heavily into the more abstract styles of hardcore/techno played at these parties. Subsequently he also started producing tunes in said styles, often mixed with drum & bass influences, yet his first release (the A1 track on OBX 2) was more downtempo and electro oriented. Nowadays the focus is completely lost and he produces breakbeat, hiphop, rave, hardcore, electro, drum & bass and even the occasional soundscape. As a dj his styles vary from the aforementioned, complemented with indie rock, jazz and funk.
