Reviews & Discussion

There's no doubt the rise of Danilo Vigorito has been nothing short of amazing. His records are being released by all the top guns in the techno scene. Sure most his records are similar but he has developed his own sound which i respect. Not only that he has proven to be very versatile as a producer which i believe has allowed him to release so much material. Highlights for me would have to be his Imaginary Boy ep1 on Zenit, Rephlex ep on Phont, Pression ep on Conform and Essence ep on Genetic.
Driving, funky, percussive and very friendly to mix what more can you ask for?
Btw he's no slack in the dj department either check out his Pitch Control mix thats floating around the net.

Although I consider Danilo to be the best producer this year, it is true that the sounds are a bot simliar in his releases. Releases on Conform-Primate-Zenit(10)-Orion, have each a record that sounds like flangered if you mix it with any of the others stated above, what happens when two records are too too much alike.

I am sorry to see that the list of his releases above is vague, missing quite a few of his excellent releases on FROZEN, ISOGHI, second release on ZENIT (both this year) and an excellent release on his own ORION imprint [including a rippin' remix by Parisio].

He is a protage of both Carola and Parisio, actually, just as it should be. Napoli sound needed a tome of hardness in their techno, and Danilo combines funk and hard just as perfectly as it can be done.

hmmm.. his releases on conform and primate have been top notch, yet since breaking thru he seems to have cashed in big time releasing a lot of material that doesnt really differ. His essence ep on genetic i would speculate is one of the fastest ever produced records in history. His now trademark basslines are wicked tho (esp primate), and the plink-plonky brokendown bits very pleasing on the mix. A protegee of the one and only Mr G Parisio i would assume
