David Hopkins ran the Public Bath label in the 80s & early 90s, releasing a variety of Japanese underground sounds. He is currently Associate Professor at the Faculty of International Culture Studies, Tenri University. His main field of research is comparative popular culture, including music, film, comics, radio and baseball.
