Profile:
American Vocal/Pop group. Formed in 1970 by Tony Orlando (who was a solo-singer at that time) and Telma Hopkins and Joyce Vincent. After a few hits under the name Dawn (5), in 1973 the name got changed into Dawn (5) featuring Tony Orlando.
In 1976 the group scored a new recording contract at Elektra with a new name Tony Orlando & Dawn (which is the name to be used for releases after 1976 with this name!)
