From soundtracking one of the most important British youth films of the 70's (Babylon) to being the powerhouse behind many UK Reggae / Lover's Rock releases, to working with the likes of Edwin Collins, Bananarama, releasing library music on the KPM label and even with the Slits... Dennises work is superbly varied.
I was lucky enough to work with Dennis when he was compiling the two Lover's Rock CDs for Kickin Music and he opened my eyes to this form of music. Previously, I had dismissed it in my youth, however, on hearing some of the gems that he and John Kpiaye had produced in the 70's I realised the error of my ways.
Anyway, Dennis is a consumate professional, has many a story to tell of the music business and is a genuinely great bloke. Having just watched Babylon once more the other day it struck me how important this man has been for Black British Music and music in general.
