Dennis Edwards is an American soul and R&B singer, most noted for being one of Motown act The Temptations' lead singers. He is a first cousin of Dora Mae (Clayborn) Ward, (of Lima, Ohio, formerly of Yazoo City, Mississippi), whose family is African American and Cherokee Indian and were former landowners of El Dorado Plantation and 13 farms on the plantation, where Mrs. Ward grew up.
