If it wasn't for DAF we may never have had Front 242 and Nitzer Ebb. Much should be said about this duo, and unfortunately throughout the years they have always played back up to the more successful EBM acts. DAF's style is extremely unique - they toy with basic drum machine & bassline industrial, to xylophone-heavy pop pieces, to the completely bizarre and experimental. Before anyone else was making industrial-influenced dance music, DAF was there, experimenting, rocking, and above all, having fun with their machines and their audience. Thank you VERY much DAF for making this music accessible to the rest of us... you will never be forgotten, and I hope we see a new album in the next decade!
